| Laird/Rust: "The file for this recording reads 'See 146229,' which is a Columbia recording by Charles W. Hamp on May 2, 1928, of 'You tell me your dream.' The Columbia file card has a note reading 'Transfer from OKeh 400589.' All this indicates that this West Coast recording expedition was a shared venture between Columbia and OKeh during which masters were taken for both labels and numbered into the respective matrix series as required." From ADP editors: While Co mtx 146229 may have been assigned to this master originally, it was ultimately assigned to an entirely different selection. |
