Art Kahn

Art Kahn was an American musician and composer. He is best known as the bandleader for Art Kahn and His Orchestra, a Chicago-based Jazz Age band which was among the early recording groups for jazz during the Roaring Twenties. In later years, Kahn became a piano single entertaining at The Torch Club in Chicago.

Kahn's band recorded with many others including singer Ruth Etting, including their 1926 version of "Hello, Baby". Art Kahn & His Orchestra had popular recordings of "Shanghai Lullaby" (1924) and "When Day Is Done"( 1927) and they also appeared in the film short, "Rah! Rah! Rhythm" (1936).
