Laird/Rust: "No exact dates are known for these sessions [for masters 8871-8874] but on February 4, 1925 the trade journal Talking Machine World reported that 'OKeh were in St. Petersburg, Fla. to record' and this report would obviously refer to a date some weeks earlier. Another report in the same journal on February 7, 1925 says that '12 records by the Royal Scotch Highlanders were recorded recently'..."
