Orchestra: 15 men.
Laird: Brunswick 3299 was apparently intended to be issued at the time of Valentino's death in August, 1926, but it was canceled before the release. Both titles were remastered in August 1930 with an announcer introducing each side. These masters were released on an un-numbered issue with a label credit stating the disc was "Distributed by the Celebrities Recording Co. Inc. Hollywood, California." The record is clearly a Brunswick pressing, and the label also states "Recorded at the Brunswick Recording Laboratories, New York, May 14, 1923." This issue also exists as a later laminated pressing dating from the mid- or late 1930s.
Session indicated as recorded in the PM.
Documentation of Brunswick Records derives primarily from Ross Laird's "Brunswick Records: A discography of recordings, 1916-1931" (Greenwood Press, 2001). See the ADP Brunswick Records Resources page for more information.
