| Laird: "These are the first electric recordings noted in the Brunswick files. The master numbers are duplicated by a Giuseppe Danise session recorded the following day as acoustic recordings (see below). Brunswick did not commence electric recording from a specific date, but rather seems to have experimented with electric recording throughout April and early May, 1925. Some sessions during this period were recorded electrically, while other sessions continued to be made as acoustic recordings. In yet other cases, titles at some sessions were made by both the acoustic and electric processes. In the above instance (and all subsequent listings) the “E” prefix indicates an electric recording, and its absence indicates an acoustic recording." |
