Brooks/Rust: "This lilting hit was interpolated into several 1906 musicals, among them Mexicana, The Land of Nod (in Chicago), Miss Dolly Dollars, and His Honor the Mayor— sung enthusiastically in the last-named by Blanche Ring in a valiant attempt to save the failing show. For some reason Columbia gave composer credit to Kerry Mills, but the song is in fact by Will Cobb and Ren Shields."
