| This master is derived from portions of MS-78592 and MS-81868-1, both recordings from radio broadcast services of Elder Lightfoot Solomon Micheax. Micheax broadcast from facilities of WJSV in Washington DC and Arlington, VA, and was carried by many CBS radio network stations. Victor ledgers documenting these recordings are believed to be lost. Secondary sources note the take place as Alexandria, and the date of broadcast of MS-78592 as either Nov. 25 or 26, 1933. Michaux’s program aired both days. The section that derives from MS-81868 is the closing portion of the recording where Michael’s theme song, “Happy am I,” is sung. |
