Laird: "Despite the similarity to the Brunswick master numbers at this period, these recordings [masters 14047-14049 and 14050-14053] are not part of the Brunswick matrix series. The recording sheet is filed with Vocalion mx. series and immediately follows the first sheet in the series (for 100-8W above.) It is marked 'Recorded by Aeolian.' The orchestra accompaniment to the above session by Colin O'More was apparently directed by Ben Selvin, who then made these two titles under his own name (and these recordings probably account for 109-15W—which are otherwise untraced)."
Documentation of Vocalion Records derives primarily from Ross Laird's "Brunswick Records: A discography of recordings, 1916-1931" (Greenwood Press, 2001). See the ADP Brunswick Records Resources page for more information.
