It is suspected, but not confirmed, that these recordings are of a radio version of the motion picture operetta, "The rogue song." Documentation of an actual broadcast of has not been found. The recording may be that of a broadcast, an audition, or a transcription disc series. It is not clear from Victor ledgers whether the performance took place in Victor studios, in an NBC radio network studio, or elsewhere.
