Stokowski.org website states that the Victor masters made on 11/22/1938 and issued under World’s Greatest Music labels were Fritz Reiner’s first commercial recordings. The website adds that “60 [of the] musicians primarily from the New York Philharmonic,” but disc labels contain no performer credits. The recordings were made as a promotion for the newspaper, New York Post.
