This master derives from an instantaneous disc believed to have been recorded in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Victor ledgers available to the ADP list only this re-recording of the master. It was made in Victor's Studio 1 in New York, New York on 12/26/1939.
The master is identified in Victor ledgers as "Porto Rican Record-No. 11."
Ledgers list the performing group as "Frank Madera y sus Gay Collegians." An online source identifies the group as Orquesta Frank Madera and adds vocalist Jose Luis Moneró. It is not known whether the latter source refers to this matrix.
